This was a massive season opener for both teams. Each team were eager to gain first blood on the other and edge in front from the first game. Today was quite simply Signets' day. They dominated from start to finish and created the best of the games chances. Copeland played their part but to be fair spent much of the game defending today. The first half ended without score and it looked like it ay be hard to find a winner, however Several minutes into the second half Signet made a substitution and Daniel Heywood was pushed into the centre of the park. This paid off immediately ,with Daniel sliding a ball through to Jack Richer who Found Alfie to slot the ball home and ease the tension. Another goal was needed to settle Signet down and it came soon after the first with Jack Richer crossing the ball which was deflected into the net by a back-pedalling defender. With a few minutes to go Jack Safroniou hit home the third and the game was over. This is a big win for Signet and a great start to our campaign.
